Update on Animation 'Untitled (invisible man) -2008'

Making an animation requires a lot of preparations and research in prior to moving on to the shooting stage and editing stage and that what I have been doing for the past weeks (with some interruptions between...). As I am constantly experimenting and exploring in the area of stop-frame animation it is rather slow progress, however, the outcome from the experiences and failures are most beneficial and valuable.

Scene: walking home at night

Grey front door

I made a front view of a house with a real door which can be opened and closed. The stained glass like windows will show shadow of a figure when light is switched on inside.

Scene: cat

Cat Cat

Studies of cat's forms and movements in drawing in prior to model a life size cat, kitten in fact, in clay. Kitten's body seems much softer and more flexible in movement than mature cat's and looks so cute

Scene: reading newspaper and drinking coffee

Cat Cat

These are the miniature models of a coffee table and the objects. The newspaper has very fine wire in between pages so that it can be bent and shaped for animating. The coffee cup was found in a local charity shop for 20p.
